Charitable response to infrastructure damage and window replacement
Ukraine faced an extremely difficult situation in the winter of 2022-2023. Military aggression and constant bombing led to infrastructure damage, as well as the loss of heating and communication in numerous houses. This created an urgent need to replace damaged windows to ensure the comfort and safety of residents. Charitable foundations jointly undertook an initiative to deliver windows, helping people obtain the necessary resources at this critical time.
The charitable foundation “District #1,” in collaboration with BRDA OKNO, engaged in an important initiative, which successfully involved the delivery of over 400 windows from Poland and their distribution among those who truly needed them. This joint initiative helped residents of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions replace windows damaged by military actions in their homes. The primary goal was to provide people not only with new windows but also with warmth and comfort during challenging times. We extend our gratitude to the volunteers and participants of this project who made a significant contribution to improving lives and providing essential resources to those in need. This collective effort demonstrated that united actions can make a significant difference in the lives of many people.
