Clearing debris for the central northern branch of Ukrposhta in the town of Borodyanka
Almost immediately after the de-occupation of the Kyiv region, we were approached by the central northern branch of Ukrposhta with a request to clear a damaged building of debris, burnt furniture, and trash in the town of Borodyanka. This building, which had been occupied by enemy forces, became a casualty of the war.
Thanks to the tireless work of over 140 dedicated volunteers from the “District #1” charitable fund, we achieved what seemed impossible! Over the course of 6 trips, 60 tons of debris were removed, and two floors of the building were cleared of ruins and domestic waste.
Unfortunately, our volunteers encountered an extremely unpleasant situation: they literally had to clean up feces left by the occupiers in buckets in the middle of rooms.
This was a horrific illustration of the enemy’s nature, but our volunteers did everything possible to restore the space and return dignity to this building and its surroundings.
