Procurement and distribution of 2,500+ food packages for vulnerable groups of people in the de-occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts
People in the de-occupied and frontline regions of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts face a serious shortage of resources, logistical problems, and a tough economic situation, making it hard for them to meet their basic food needs. Our goal is to help reduce the financial strain on families living in these difficult conditions and support them in meeting their basic needs.
Through active communication with the residents of the affected regions, our team at the “District #1” fund developed a special food package that covers the monthly dietary needs of families of 2-4 people.
The package includes essential products such as:
- 3 types of grains, pasta, and wheat flour,
- 6 types of canned goods,
- Oil, sauces, halva, salt, sugar, tea,
- Dry bread, condensed milk, matches.
The cost of one food package is around 40 euros.
We oversee the entire process of creating and distributing these food packages, which includes:
- Developing and purchasing the contents for the food packages.
- Packing the goods at our specially equipped warehouse.
- Delivering the packages.
- Overseeing the shipment and distribution of the goods to the beneficiaries, using preliminary lists with complete family demographics provided by our partner (a charitable fund) in Kherson.
The entire process, from receiving donor funds to distributing the food packages to people, takes from 7 to 14 days.
As of November 2023, our team has prepared and delivered over 2,500 food packages to 3,461 people. We continue to help vulnerable segments of the population with food packages, supported by our financial partner “IsraAID Germany.”
