Restoring the material and technical base of the medical outpost for 265 residents of Bobrovyi Kut village

Due to constant shelling, the threat of enemy drone strikes on roads, and the lack of regular public transportation, any trip between villages in the Kherson region poses a direct risk to people’s lives. Under these conditions, it is much safer for residents of remote communities to receive essential healthcare services locally rather than travel dozens of kilometers to medical facilities in urban areas.

That is why our charitable organization, the District #1 Charity Foundation, in partnership with Global Emergency Relief, Recovery and Reconstruction (GER3) and with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF), equipped the feldsher-midwife station in the village of Bobrovyi Kut. The initiative was implemented as part of the project «Improving Access to Basic Services through Emergency Housing Repairs and Restoration of Healthcare Facilities in Kherson Oblast».

As a result of the project, the medical facility received 14 pieces of medical and office equipment. This has helped improve the quality of healthcare services, create more comfortable working conditions for medical staff, strengthen infection prevention and control measures, and make patient care significantly more comfortable.

The Foundation supplied equipment in the following categories:

  • For diagnostics and medical procedures: automatic blood pressure monitor, stadiometer (height measuring device), instrument trolley, IV infusion stand.
  • For infection prevention and control: two germicidal lamps, washbasin, waste container, three medical waste bins.
  • For workstations and the waiting area: laptop, computer desk, office sofa, two storage cabinets, two chairs.

The new equipment has enabled the feldsher-midwife station to provide safe and appropriate conditions for the daily delivery of primary healthcare services to 265 local residents.

Consistent support for healthcare services in de-occupied and frontline communities lays the foundation for the long-term recovery and development of social infrastructure throughout the Kherson region.
