Today, a significant proportion of the population in the frontline villages of the Kherson region consists of older adults and people with limited mobility, for whom evacuation or travel beyond their community is especially difficult. Without access to basic diagnostic services locally—such as an ECG examination or even a simple blood pressure check—they risk being completely cut off from healthcare, as they are physically unable to travel to hospitals in urban areas.

To support these communities, our charitable organization, the District #1 Charity Foundation, in partnership with Global Emergency Relief, Recovery and Reconstruction (GER3) and with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF), equipped the outpatient clinic in the village of Kalynivske, Kherson region. The initiative was implemented as part of the project «Improving Access to Basic Services through Emergency Housing Repairs and Restoration of Healthcare Facilities in Kherson Oblast».

Thanks to this support, the medical facility received 29 pieces of essential medical equipment and furniture:

• For diagnostics and medical procedures: an ECG machine, two automatic blood pressure monitors, two instrument trolleys, and two IV infusion stands.
• For infection prevention and control and facility maintenance: three germicidal lamps, two waste containers, seven medical waste bins, and an aluminum ladder.
• For workstations: two laptops, a multifunction printer, two printer cartridges, two office storage cabinets, and two chairs.

The new equipment has enabled the outpatient clinic to provide safe and appropriate conditions for the daily delivery of healthcare services to 604 local residents.

Timely medical assistance and quality diagnostic services at the local level are critically important for those who need them most. The outpatient clinic currently serves 297 older adults, 27 people with disabilities, as well as 215 adults and 92 children.
