Reconstruction of a multi-family apartment building in Irpin for 56 residents
During the artillery shelling in Irpin city, Kyiv oblast’, a multi-story building at 82 Mechnikova Street suffered extensive damage. The roof and the fifth floor with 6 apartments located on the attic floor were completely destroyed. The building’s communications and technical room were damaged. The facade and windows were significantly damaged, and the staircase, running from the first to the last floor, was burned, emitting a smell that affected residents on all floors.
The charitable fund “District #1,” with financial support from the charitable fund “Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe,” undertook the following actions:
- Developed a project for the roof reconstruction (420 m²), 6 apartments, facade, communications, the staircase from the 1st to the 5th floor, and the technical room, including its sealing.
- Conducted a tender and purchased building materials.
- Carried out reconstruction work for all the damages to the building and rebuilt 6 apartments to a state “ready for interior finishing.”
Thus, 56 residents of the building was able to live comfortably in the restored building.
